The Concord Fire Department is set to conduct a live-fire training exercise on November 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at 541 Wilhelm Place NE. The event will require the closure of a section of Wilhelm Place NE between McGregor Drive NE and Goldmoor Drive NE. Residents in the vicinity might notice smoke and a significant presence of fire department personnel.
This exercise marks the final training event for the Recruit Academy, which is scheduled to graduate in December. Live-fire training is crucial for developing and enhancing firefighters' skills, equipping them for real emergency situations.
Residents will still be able to access their homes via McGregor Drive NE and Goldmoor Drive NE during the exercise. Both motorists and residents are reminded that this is solely a training exercise. Motorists should maintain traffic flow, and individuals are advised to call 911 only if faced with an actual life-threatening emergency.
