The closure on Summit Drive has been extended as stormwater crews continue work on a culvert. Weather permitting, Summit Drive is expected to reopen on July 28.
Two separate road closures were initially planned in Concord for wastewater work on Cumberland Court SW and stormwater work on Summit Drive SE. During these closures, local property owners and residents will still have access, but through traffic is advised to avoid the areas and follow signed detours.
On Wednesday, July 13, Cumberland Court SW was closed between Plott Drive SW and Warren C. Coleman Boulevard to allow city wastewater crews to install service in the area. The closure was scheduled from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Beginning Thursday, July 14, Summit Drive SE closed to through traffic between Crestside Drive SE and Barclay Court SE for stormwater crews to work on a culvert. Work was anticipated to begin at 7 a.m., with an initial completion time of approximately one week.
Maps are available for detour information.
