County of Cabarrus issued the following announcement on Aug. 26.
Mark your calendar for the return of the Cabarrus County Fair, September 10 to 18 at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center.
A few of this year's activities include:
- Petting Zoo and farm animals
- Competitive exhibits
- Live butterfly encounter with over 300 butterflies
- The Hog Diggity Dog animal show
- Caricature artist
- Got to Be NC Agriculture Kids Club Scavenger Hunt
- Karaoke (Sunday and the last Saturday)
- Fair food vendors
- More than 40 rides
- Over 30 games
- 15-foot sandcastle carving demonstration and display
- Live chainsaw carving
- Racing Pigs
- Free grounds entertainment (once inside the fairgrounds)
