The City of Concord is set to unveil its inaugural sculpture show in Downtown Concord. Four sculptures will be installed along Union Street and remain on display for one year. The installation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, and Thursday, March 20, aligning with weekend plans for visitors to explore the new public art.

The Public Art Commission, after receiving approval from the City Council, identified Union Street as a prime location for public art. Last December, they issued a call for artists for this temporary sculpture show. Out of 31 submissions, four sculptures were chosen:

"Connected," by Nathaniel Pierce, will be situated at 9 Union St N. "Two Gentlemen of Verona," by Jim Gallucci, will be located at 4 Union St S. "Intersection," by Bob Coon, will find its place at 28 Union St S. Finally, "Dawn," by Sam Spiczka, will be displayed at 66 Union St S.

These sculptures will remain on display in Downtown Concord until April 2026. More information about current public art projects can be found at concordnc.gov/publicart.
