Avelo Airlines has announced the addition of three new nonstop routes from Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA) to Detroit, Washington D.C., and Long Island. The airline is now the sole provider of direct flights between these destinations and Concord, with fares starting at $39.
The new routes will be serviced by Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Avelo's CEO Andrew Levy expressed enthusiasm about expanding services in the Concord/Charlotte area, stating that it provides more travel options for customers. "We continue to Inspire Travel by growing our service in Concord/Charlotte with these three new routes, offering our Customers even more choices," Levy said.
The service to Detroit Metro Airport will commence on June 13, 2025, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. Flights to Washington D.C.'s Dulles International Airport will begin on May 23, 2025, also with twice-weekly service on Mondays and Fridays. The route to Long Island MacArthur Airport starts on May 22, 2025, available twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.
Concord Mayor Bill Dusch welcomed Avelo's expansion: “We are honored Avelo continues to grow with us - establishing a new base of operations and adding three new routes from Concord.” Dirk Vanderleest, City of Concord Aviation Director, added his excitement about the launch of these destinations.
Avelo opened its base at Concord/Charlotte on March 6, 2025. The airline plans to add a second Boeing 737 in April and create up to 50 jobs at the airport.
Currently serving eleven nonstop destinations from USA airport including Albany, Boston/Manchester, Daytona Beach, Hartford, Lakeland/Orlando, Nashville, New Haven, Rochester as well as the newly added Detroit and Washington D.C., Avelo aims to provide reliable air service while maintaining competitive pricing.
