Avelo Airlines has launched a new base of operations at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA), marking a significant expansion for the airline. The move includes stationing two aircraft at the airport, introducing new destinations, and creating up to 50 jobs.

The airline currently serves seven nonstop destinations from Concord/Charlotte and plans to begin nonstop service to Daytona Beach, Florida, and Nashville, Tennessee, on April 3. Fares start at $40 one-way and can be booked through Avelo's website.

Andrew Levy, Founder and CEO of Avelo Airlines, commented on the expansion: “Our Queen City Customers tell us they have loved flying Avelo since we took flight at USA 10 months ago. The fast and easy, small hometown airport experience USA offers is a relaxing alternative to CLT. Our seven nonstop destinations are just the beginning."

Dirk Vanderleest, Aviation Director for the City of Concord, highlighted the economic benefits: “Avelo’s presence at USA increases their positive impact on the economy for the City of Concord and Cabarrus County.”

Since its service launch in May 2024 at USA, Avelo has flown over 65,000 customers on more than 550 flights. The airline will operate Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft for its services from this base.

In addition to its new base in Concord/Charlotte, Avelo operates another base in North Carolina at Raleigh Durham International Airport and plans to open a third in Wilmington International Airport on April 3.

For families traveling with children aged 14 or under, there is no additional cost for seating arrangements ensuring they sit together with an accompanying adult.
