A badge pinning ceremony took place at City Hall on January 28th. The event marked the swearing-in of the officers as they pledged to uphold the law in Concord. Family members attended alongside key city officials such as Police Chief Jimmy Hughes and Mayor Bill Dusch.
Chief Hughes expressed gratitude to the families for their support and acknowledged the efforts of Field Training Officers in preparing recruits for their roles. “Remember," he stated to the new officers during his address, "you are here to protect both our community and one another. It’s a privilege to be a law enforcement officer in the City of Concord.”
The department prides itself on being nationally accredited by CALEA and emphasizes its commitment to providing quality training and working conditions for its officers. The city looks forward to supporting these new officers as they embark on their careers serving the community.
