City of Concord government offices will not be open on Monday, September 4, 2023, in observance of Labor Day. This closure affects several services which will follow modified schedules.

Solid waste collection services will not operate on September 4. Consequently, all customers should expect a one-day delay for garbage, recycling, yard, and bulky waste collections. Residents are reminded to place their items at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on their designated collection day. To verify their schedule, customers can visit concordnc.gov/whatsmyday or use the CARTology mobile app.

Rider Transit services will also be suspended on Monday, with buses resuming regular operations on Tuesday, September 5.

For Parks and Recreation facilities, city recreation centers will have holiday hours from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The David Phillips Activity Center and Lake Fisher will remain closed for the day. However, all city parks and greenways as well as the ClearWater Arts Center & Studios will maintain regular operating hours.
