Contractors will temporarily close Market Street in Downtown Concord from January 31 to February 1 and again from February 7 to February 9. This closure is necessary for the removal of a construction crane at the Novi Rise site, which will be taken for a safety inspection before being reassembled at the Novi Lofts site. The Novi Lofts project marks the final phase of three residential and mixed-use developments by Lansing Melbourne Group (LMG) in Downtown Concord.
During these periods, vehicular access to the drive-up payment box on Market Street will not be available. Residents can make check payments inside City Hall or use one of the payment kiosks. A walk-up kiosk outside City Hall is accessible around the clock, while another kiosk inside City Hall offers assistance for first-time users.
Drivers should also note that Barbrick Ave SW remains closed due to ongoing work on the Downtown Streetscape project. This initiative aims to enhance Concord’s downtown district with improved aesthetics and new opportunities for dining, shopping, and entertainment. More information about this project can be found at concorddowntown.com/streetscape.
The Novi Flats, Rise, and Lofts projects collectively represent approximately $70 million in private investment in Downtown Concord. The Novi Lofts property will feature 89 residential units, ground-floor retail space, and a rooftop restaurant situated between Union Street and Market Street.
