City of Concord government offices will not be open on Monday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day. This closure will affect several services which will operate on modified schedules.
For garbage, recycling, bulky, and yard waste collection, there will be no services provided on Monday. Collection for these services will be delayed by one day. Customers with a Friday route can expect their collection to occur on Saturday, June 4.
Yard waste should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31. Crews will start with the Monday route area and continue through each day's route to ensure all yard waste is collected by Friday afternoon, June 3.
It is important for customers to remember that all items must be at the curb by 6 a.m. on their scheduled collection day. Items set out after this time may not be collected. Customers are advised to place items at the curb after 5 p.m. the night before and can check concordnc.gov/whatsmyday or use the CARTology mobile app to confirm their collection schedule.
Rider Transit buses will not operate on Monday, May 30, but regular service will resume on Tuesday, May 31.
The Academy and Hartsell Recreation Centers and the Logan Multi-Purpose Center will have holiday hours from noon to 6 p.m. on Memorial Day. However, the David Phillips Activity Center will remain closed for the day.
All city parks and greenways will stay open as usual.
