Contractors in Concord are set to begin work on a new downtown streetscape project, resulting in the closure of Barbrick Avenue SW for four months. This development aims to enhance outdoor dining and entertainment experiences in Downtown Concord, an area celebrated for its historic charm, unique boutiques, and local restaurants.
The streetscape project will see Barbrick Avenue SW closed between Union Street S and Spring Street SW starting Tuesday, May 24. The road closure is expected to last approximately four months. Despite the closure, businesses along Market Street SW will remain accessible to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The City of Concord Nonprofit Center at 4 Barbrick Avenue SW will also stay open during the construction period.
Residents and visitors can look forward to improved living, dining, and shopping experiences once renovations are complete. For further details on the ongoing Novi projects and the upcoming streetscape improvements, interested parties can visit concorddowntown.com.
