The City of Concord is inviting project proposals for funding through the Federal Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310) program. This initiative provides formula funding to assist private nonprofit groups in addressing the transportation needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities, particularly when existing services are unavailable, insufficient, or inappropriate.

An estimated $237,228 in grant funding is available for transit programs within the Concord Urbanized Area. The allocation will follow a competitive selection process outlined in the City of Concord’s 5310 Program Management Plan. Eligible applicants include local government agencies, social services agencies, private and public transportation operators, and non-profit organizations.

Applications for these grants must be submitted by May 9, 2022.
