Contractors working on the Novi Rise development in Downtown Concord are set to close Spring Street SW for approximately three weeks. The closure, which begins on Monday, February 21 at 9 a.m., will affect the section between Barbrick Avenue SW and the alley behind the Concord Police Department. This is to facilitate necessary utility work.
During this period, travelers are advised to use Bell Street SW or Union Street S as alternative routes. Access to the Carolina Courts parking lot remains available from Spring Street via Cabarrus Avenue W. However, using the Corban Avenue entrance is recommended.
The Novi Rise project is part of three residential and mixed-use developments by Lansing Melbourne Group (LMG) in Downtown Concord. Initiated in August 2021, these projects—Novi Rise, Novi Flats, and Novi Lofts—represent a combined private investment of approximately $70 million. The Novi Rise development alone accounts for an estimated $38.5 million investment and will feature 167 residential units along with retail space.
