The City of Concord Water Resources Department is working to address reduced water clarity in parts of the city's water system. While some areas have seen improvements, others continue to experience issues. Crews are actively flushing lines to expedite recovery. The department assures residents that the water remains safe for consumption and that there is no need to boil it, as the issue is purely aesthetic and poses no health risks.

Residents encountering discolored water can visit https://concordnc.gov/waterupdates to submit their service address. This data will help identify areas still affected by the problem. However, customers should not expect a follow-up from the city upon submission of their information. The department emphasizes that submitting an address ensures they are aware of and addressing impacted areas.
