The 20th Annual Dogs’ Day Out Festival is set to return on Saturday, October 21 at Les Myers Park in Concord. The event promises a day filled with fun activities for the whole family, including furry companions who are up-to-date on their vaccinations.

This year, the festival will feature a variety of attractions aimed at both dogs and their human companions. According to the organizers, "Proceeds from the festival benefit the Concord Youth Council." In addition, a new feature will be introduced, as stated by the Concord Youth Council, "We will be selling dog bandanas and stickers that can be customized with your pet’s name."

Attendees can look forward to engaging in contests tailored for the canine participants. "There will also be contests for the dogs, including a talent contest, lookalike contest, and famous costume contest. The top three canine contestants in each category will receive a prize."

Furthermore, the event welcomes pet-related vendors interested in showcasing their products and services. Organizers have encouraged interested vendors to reach out to the Parks and Recreation Department for more information on participation.

The festival is made possible with the support of various sponsors. This year's sponsors include Subaru Concord, Cabarrus Animal Hospital, Mt. Pleasant Animal Hospital, Mt. Pleasant Animal Rescue, and the McDonald General Store.

It is important to note that "All dogs must show proof of rabies vaccination to enter the festival." So, make sure your furry friends are up-to-date on their vaccinations to join in on the fun at the Dogs’ Day Out Festival on October 21.
