Labor Day Closures and Solid Waste Services Schedule

City of Concord government offices will be closed on Monday, September 4, 2023 for Labor Day. Several services will operate on modified schedules due to the observed holiday.

Solid Waste Services Schedule

No collection services will be provided on Monday, September 4. All customers will have a one-day delay for garbage, recycling, yard and bulky waste collection. 

Customers are reminded that all items should be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on their collection day. Customers can visit concordnc.gov/whatsmyday or download the CARTology mobile app to verify their collection schedule.

Rider Transit

Rider Transit will be closed and buses will not operate on Monday, September 4.  Regular service will resume on Tuesday, September 5.

Parks and Recreation

City Recreation Centers will follow holiday hours on Monday, September 4, and open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The David Phillips Activity Center and Lake Fisher will be closed. All city parks and greenways, as well as the ClearWater Arts Center & Studios, will be open regular operating hours.
