County of Cabarrus issued the following announcement on Dec. 19.
The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the BOC Chambers to discuss an ordinance altering the restrictions on discharging firearms in the unincorporated areas of the County.
The proposed ordinance would reduce the distance firearm discharges are restricted from 500 yards to 300 feet, as well as make other changes to the County’s existing discharge of firearms requirements.
