Stanly County Department of Public Health issued the following announcement on Dec. 7.
Stanly County's percent of positive COVID-19 cases is up to 10%. This means 10% of all people tested for COVID-19 have a positive test result. A percent positive of 10 or more is considered an area of high transmission.
Protect yourself and others by wearing a mask when you are with people who are not members of your household, keeping 6 feet apart from others, washing your hands often, staying home when you are sick, and getting vaccinated. If you are 18 years old or older, and completed two doses of Pfizer of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine 6 months ago or more, it is recommended that you get a booster dose. Call 980-323-0205 to schedule an appointment at the health department or visit www.vaccines.gov to find a vaccination site near you.
