Locust Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 4.
Multiple Locust officers and two members of the Locust City Hall staff put together 26 Christmas shoeboxes as part of this year's Operation Christmas Child program collected by West Albemarle Baptist Church. Multiple other officers and city staff members also put together boxes for other area churches.
