Town of Harrisburg issued the following announcement on Sept. 18.
Never miss another garbage or recycling collection day! The ReCollect Collection Calendar and the CARTology mobile app are designed to help residents remember to put their bins by the curb on the appropriate day for collection by WastePro.
The Town of Harrisburg joined with Cabarrus County, Concord and Kannapolis in making it even easier for residents to stay connected about waste management services and programs.
As of September 18, 2020, Harrisburg residents have access to a new waste collection calendar and reminder system. The platform also includes a Waste Wizard, which provides information on how materials can be reused, recycled, composted or disposed of. There are two ways to access the waste collection system.
The entire suite of new tools includes:
- a real-time collection calendar linked to a home address
- registration for waste collection reminders delivered by email or phone call
- collection schedule integration with iCal, Google calendar or Microsoft Outlook calendar formats
- printable collection schedules
