Graduates earn 187 degrees, certificates from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences

About 98.4 percent of the 187 degrees and certificates handed out by Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Concord conferred 121 associate's degrees and 29 bachelor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 76 associate's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 29 associate's degrees in occupational therapist assistant and 20 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse.

The college enrolled 433 students for 2017-18, including 402 in undergraduate programs and 31 in graduate programs.
