Town of Harrisburg issued the following announcement on Sept. 8.

The business community is invited to join us on Thursday, September 22 at 8am to hear from our Harrisburg Town Manager, Rob Donham & Mayor Jennifer Teague. 

This is an opportunity for businesses to hear from our Town officials on what is going on in Harrisburg and what is to come in the next few years.

The meeting will be held in the Municipal Complex in Town Hall. Networking begins at 7:45am.

 Morning refreshments will be provided, and Town officials will present to provide community updates.

The City of Concord has lifted a recent boil water notice for customers north of I-85 and NC-73 after confirming safe drinking water through tests. Only a small number of households were affected; others remained unaffected throughout this period.

Boil water notice issued for small portion of Concord customers

A boil water notice has been issued for a small number of Concord residents after E. coli was found in part of Kannapolis’ drinking supply. Only those living north of I-85 and NC-73 who receive their service from Kannapolis are affected; free bottled water is being distributed.
