The City of Concord is currently under a winter storm warning until Saturday, January 11, at 7 a.m. As a result, several city services and facilities are experiencing closures and delays.
All parks, greenways, and Lake Fisher will open later than usual on Saturday to allow for condition assessments ensuring safety before reopening. The Rocky River Golf Course will remain closed from Friday, January 10 through Sunday, January 12.
Rider Transit will end its services early on Friday at 6:30 p.m., with plans to resume operations on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., depending on weather conditions. Updates can be checked via the Passio GO! transit app.
There are also road impacts due to the weather. The flyover bridge on Concord Mills Blvd. has been closed since Friday afternoon.
Regarding power outages reported by Concord Electric Systems as of Friday afternoon, there are no current outages. Customers can report or track power outages using the outage map or by calling 704-920-5555. It is advised not to call emergency services for power outage reports.
For water service disruptions, any incidents will be posted on the city's website.
