The City of Concord has announced its holiday schedule for office closures and modifications to service operations. City government offices will be closed from December 24 to December 26 for Christmas, and on January 1, 2025, for New Year's Day.

Solid waste services will experience a one-day delay in garbage, recycling, yard, and bulky waste collection on December 25 and 26. Loose leaf collection will continue as planned. The following week, all collections will be delayed by one day on January 1 and January 2. Residents can place extra bags and flattened cardboard outside their trash carts from December 26 through January 3. Live Christmas trees can be placed curbside with regular yard waste once decorations are removed. Artificial trees should be treated as bulky trash.

Rider Transit services will not operate on December 25 or January 1.

Parks and Recreation facilities also have altered schedules during the holidays. All recreation centers and Lake Fisher will close on Christmas Day. The Academy, Hartsell, and Logan Multi-Purpose Recreation Centers have modified hours during this period: open from Noon to 6 p.m. on December 24 and 26; regular hours on other days except for New Year’s Day when they are open Noon-6 p.m.

The David Phillips Activity Center is closed from December 24-26 and on January 1. Lake Fisher is open only on December 23 but closes for the rest of the key holiday dates mentioned above.

ClearWater Arts Center & Studios is set to close between December 24-26 and again on January 1.
