The City of Concord, North Carolina, is offering residents an opportunity to learn about its public safety operations through the Citizen Public Safety Academy. This program provides insights into how the city's police, fire, and communications departments work together to maintain safety in the community.
Concord is recognized as the 10th largest city in North Carolina and ranks as one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States. It is also noted for being among the safest places to live and raise a family. The Citizen Public Safety Academy aims to give participants a closer look at these factors contributing to Concord's reputation.
Registration for this free academy is open online until January 31, 2025. To participate, residents must be at least 18 years old. The class size is limited to 40 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
