In observance of Martin Luther King Day, the City of Concord will close its offices on Monday, January 18. Essential services such as garbage, recycling, and bulky waste collection will continue to operate on their regular schedule next week. Residents are reminded to place yard waste at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, for collection by Friday, January 22.

The city advises that all waste should be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on collection days to ensure pickup. Late placement may result in missed collection. It is recommended that items be set out after 5:00 p.m. the evening before their scheduled pickup day. Collection schedules can be verified at concordnc.gov/whatsmyday.

Rider Transit services will maintain their usual operations on January 18. City parks and greenways will also remain open according to their regular schedule, while the Logan Recreation Center will welcome visitors from noon until 6:00 p.m.
