The City of Concord has announced that government offices will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Several services will operate on modified schedules during this period.

Solid Waste Services will not collect garbage, recycling, bulky waste, or yard waste on Thanksgiving Day. Customers with a Thursday collection day should expect a one-day delay. The Solid Waste Department will work on Friday, November 24, to service these routes. Residents are reminded to place their containers at the curb by 6 a.m. on their collection day.

Parks and Recreation facilities including the Academy, Hartsell, and Logan Multi-Purpose Recreation Centers will close on Thursday, November 23. These centers will open with holiday hours from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, November 24. The David Phillips Activity Center and ClearWater Arts Center & Studios will remain closed both days.

Rider Transit services will also be unavailable on Thanksgiving Day. Normal operations are set to resume on Friday, November 24.
