The City of Concord, in collaboration with ClearWater Arts Center & Studios, is set to unveil a new community ceramics center. The ClearWater Ceramics Center will provide a range of facilities including retail space, artist studios, and an expansive classroom area equipped with pottery wheels and work tables. Additional amenities include rooms for glazing, mixing, and kilns.

The public is invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Thursday, October 26, 2022, at 2 p.m. at 223 Crowell Drive NW in Concord. Attendees will have the opportunity to preview the facility and participate in discussions about future ceramics classes and programs.

As a community-oriented space, the center offers an open workspace designed to support classes and provide access to equipment for artists and residents. During the event, attendees can complete surveys to express their preferences and ideas for upcoming ceramics programs. These surveys will also be accessible online following the event.

ClearWater aims to establish itself as a leading arts hub in Concord while ensuring affordable workspace options for local artists. Besides ceramics classes planned for the future, ClearWater Arts Center currently offers tours, event rentals, and guest artist-led classes.
