City of Concord homeowners who faced financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and fell behind on their mortgage payments are encouraged to apply for assistance through the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Payment Program. Eligible applicants can receive up to $5,000 towards their mortgage obligations, which include principal, interest, taxes, and insurance. Early application is advised as funding is limited.
The City of Concord has secured funds through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. This funding supports the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Payment Program designed to assist low to moderate-income residents within Concord affected by COVID-19.
Eligibility criteria require homeowners to live in their primary residence located in Concord. Additionally, household income must be equal to or less than 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) at the time of application. Applicants should have made consistent mortgage payments before experiencing a COVID-19-related hardship such as reduced work hours, job loss or furlough, or illness due to COVID-19 affecting themselves or an immediate family member.
To apply for this program, eligible homeowners should contact Prosperity Unlimited by emailing appointment@prosperitycdc.org for an application or calling (704) 933-7405. Applications will be accepted until all available funding is allocated.
