Due to low water levels at Lake Fisher and changes in intake procedures at the Hillgrove Water Treatment Plant, residents in Concord may notice a cloudy appearance in their tap water. This change is aesthetic only, and there is no threat to public health; the water remains safe for consumption without the need for boiling.

Lake Fisher, one of Concord's surface water sources, is currently over six feet below normal levels. The lake provides raw water to the Hillgrove Water Treatment Plant. As a result of the lake's low level, Concord's Water Resources Department adjusted the intake levels, introducing air into the raw water line and causing temporary cloudiness.

The disinfection process remains unaffected, and all water quality standards are being met. The Water Resources Department continues to monitor both raw and finished water supplies closely, making treatment adjustments as necessary. Improvements in visual clarity are expected within 12-24 hours.
