After six months of construction, the intersection at Spring St SW and Chestnut Dr SW is now open. The redesigned intersection features a "teardrop mini roundabout" intended to improve traffic flow and enhance pedestrian safety. Three new pedestrian crosswalks have been added, marked with striping on the road and high-visibility signage.
Further improvements are scheduled for the fall, including landscaping around the intersection. Motorists navigating the area for the first time should exercise caution and adhere to signs and lane markings due to the new traffic pattern.
