Cabarrus County, along with the Cities of Concord and Kannapolis, is organizing two fair housing information sessions in October. The sessions aim to educate attendees on fair housing laws, rights, and protections against discrimination. They are scheduled for Tuesday, October 22, and Thursday, October 24.
The first session will be conducted in Spanish and held in person at El Puente Hispano located at 335 Ann St., NW, Concord, NC. It will take place on October 22 at 6 p.m. Interested participants can register online at www.kannapolisnc.gov/fair-housing-espanol.
The second session will be a virtual panel discussion in English on October 24 at 6 p.m. Registration for this session can be completed online at www.kannapolisnc.gov/fair-housing-english.
Both sessions are free and open to the public. They are particularly relevant for renters, homebuyers and homeowners, housing advocates, landlords and property managers. Anyone interested in understanding equal access to housing is encouraged to attend.
