City of Concord government offices will not be open on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024. Various services will have adjusted schedules due to the holiday.

For solid waste services, there will be no collection on Monday. All customers will experience a one-day delay for garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulky waste collection. It is important for residents to place all items at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on their designated collection day. Customers can check their schedule at concordnc.gov/whatsmyday or use the CARTology mobile app.

Rider Transit will also be closed on Monday with no bus operations. Services are set to resume normally on Tuesday, September 3.

Regarding parks and recreation facilities, city recreation centers will operate under holiday hours from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The David Phillips Activity Center and Lake Fisher will remain closed. Meanwhile, the ClearWater Arts Center & Studios will be accessible to tenants and their guests.
