The annual Safety Awards, which have been a tradition for over 65 years, saw over 160 utilities participating in 2023. These utilities were evaluated based on their incident-free records, safety programs, and safety culture during the year. The recognition was based on the number of work-related injuries or illnesses and the number of worker-hours, as defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
