City of Concord Seeks Applicants for Federal Mobility Funding

The City of Concord, on May 4, 2021, announced its search for eligible applicants to submit project proposals for funding under the Federal Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310) program. An estimated $389,323 in grant funding is available under this program for transit programs in the Concord Urbanized Area.

According to the City's official statement, the funding allocation will follow a competitive selection process outlined in the City of Concord’s 5310 Program Management Plan. The City is encouraging various organizations to apply, as eligible applicants for funding include local government agencies, social services agencies, private and public transportation operators, and non-profit organizations.

The deadline for grant applications is set for June 1, 2021. Interested parties are urged to review the application materials and seek more information on the City of Concord's website.

In a direct call to potential applicants, the City of Concord declared, "The deadline for grant applications is June 1, 2021."
