Census Bureau: 74.4% of people in Cabarrus County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 221,200 citizens living in Cabarrus County in 2021, 74.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 164,492 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 79,160 were male, constituting 48.1%, and 85,332 were female, making up 51.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Cabarrus County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 77.8%.
