STANLY COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH: Mask Requirements In K–12 schools Limited COVID-19 Outbreaks

Stanly County Department of Public Health issued the following announcement on Sep 24. 

A new CDC report comparing K–12 schools in two Arizona counties finds that schools without mask requirements were 3.5 times more likely to have a COVID-19 outbreak than schools that required everyone to wear a mask from the beginning of the 2021 academic year. CDC recommends universal indoor masking in K–12 schools as part of a broad prevention strategy that includes vaccinating all eligible people. Learn more: bit.ly/MMWR92421.
