Cabarrus County residents can use tech tools to improve their voting experience by texting CabCoVotes to 888-777 and follow the link they receive.
The link will give voters polling locations, wait times, sample ballots, registration information and any other information to help them with their voting experience, WBTV reported.
The texting tool will bring voters to cabarruscounty.us/elections, where they can find real-time updates on polling stations by clicking on the "Check the Queue Length" button on the web page.
Prior to the election, the tool would inform voters of early voting locations, times and day in addition to how to request an absentee ballot online. Absentee ballots will not be taken at polling stations on the day of the election, WBTV reported.
Voter registration is also not allowed on the day of an election in the state. Voters also did not have to supply voter ID at polling stations to vote.
