65 percent of applicants to Pfeiffer University were admitted for fall 2018

At Pfeiffer University, 81 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Misenheimer enrolled 1,365 students in fall 2018, including 900 in undergraduate and 465 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

82 percent of undergraduates are residents of North Carolina, and 17 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (59 percent) and Black or African American (26 percent).

The school admitted 65 percent of the 2,701 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 18 percent enrolled.
