The York County Community Foundation said on July 2 that it would award $50,000 from the COVID-19 relief fund to eight local nonprofits.
“Thanks to the generosity of local families, foundations, companies and community members who gave, we can help nonprofits provide food, shelter, and healthcare to those who need it the most,” Alice Williams Davis, member of the York County Community Foundation board of advisors, said in the July 2 news release. “As York County continues to deal with the effects of this pandemic and the resulting economic downturn, it’s important we do not forget that lots of people in our community still need help.”
The nonprofit organizations, which are due to receive the $50,000 from the relief fund, include the York School District; Tender Hearts Girls Home, NAMI, Hope Inc., Community Care Cafe, Early Learning Partnership of York County, The Manna House Pantry and the Adult Enrichment Center.
