Red Bull, Ball Corporation, and Rauch Fruchtsäfte have started construction on a large production, manufacturing, and distribution facility in Concord, North Carolina. The new campus will cover 2.3 million square feet and is scheduled to begin operations in 2028. Full filling capacity is expected by 2031, with the facility projected to produce up to three billion cans annually.
The site will feature Ball’s aluminum can production, Rauch’s filling facilities, and Red Bull North America’s automated warehousing and distribution center. The design aims for high efficiency while reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Plans include 170,000 pallet spaces and internal conveyor bridges that link can manufacturing, co-packing, warehousing, and direct deliveries to customers.
This project marks the second integrated manufacturing campus in the United States for Red Bull, Rauch, and Ball Corporation. It is intended to serve Concord as well as surrounding regions.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held with several officials present. These included North Carolina Secretary of Commerce Lee Lilley; Concord Mayor Bill Dusch; State Senator Chris Measmer; State Representative Brian Echevarria; Chairman Jeff Jones; Advantage Austria Trade Commissioner Peter Hasslacher; Commissioners Laura Lindsey and Kenneth Wortman of the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners; and members of the Concord City Council.
