County of Cabarrus issued the following announcement on Aug. 22.
ALL programs and activities scheduled at Senior Center – Mt. Pleasant on Thursday, August 25 are canceled.
The senior center will be closed due to scheduled maintenance.

The City of Concord has lifted a recent boil water notice for customers north of I-85 and NC-73 after confirming safe drinking water through tests. Only a small number of households were affected; others remained unaffected throughout this period.
A boil water notice has been issued for a small number of Concord residents after E. coli was found in part of Kannapolis’ drinking supply. Only those living north of I-85 and NC-73 who receive their service from Kannapolis are affected; free bottled water is being distributed.
The City of Concord is awaiting state guidance following a boil water notice in nearby Kannapolis. Officials are coordinating with local agencies and will update residents when more information arrives.
