County of Cabarrus issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.
Housing and Home Improvement (HHI) is one of the County’s community development programs offered to residents.
The goal of the HHI program is to assist older homeowners in maintaining independence and adequate shelter.
The client must be a homeowner age 60 or older.
PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE:
• Building of wheelchair ramps
• Building of handrails
• Installation of grab bars
• Minor plumbing and HVAC repairs
• Minor floor repairs
• Replacement of broken stoves, washers
and refrigerators
• Other safety-related improvements
