The City of Concord has recognized 158 employees for their combined 1,885 years of service during its annual Service Awards ceremony. The event honors staff who have served the city for at least five years, with awards given in five-year increments. This year, 16 employees reached the 25-year milestone and three marked 30 years of service.
Mayor Bill Dusch and City Manager Lloyd Payne addressed the honorees during the ceremony. “The employees exemplify the City’s mission to enhance residents’ quality of life through excellent service and upholding the organization’s core values of accountability, communication, and teamwork,” they stated.
Employees from a range of departments were recognized, including Aviation, Buildings & Grounds, City Manager’s Office, Communications, Electric Systems, Engineering, Finance, Fire, Fleet, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Parks & Recreation, Planning & Neighborhood Development, Police, Solid Waste Services, Transit, Transportation and Water Resources.
Those honored included individuals with tenures spanning from five to thirty years across various roles within city government.
