CITY OF CONCORD: Update – Summit Drive Closure Extended Through July 28

City of Concord issued the following announcement on July 18.

The closure on Summit Drive has been extended as our stormwater crews continue work on a culvert. Weather permitting, Summit Drive is expected to reopen July 28.

There are two separate road closures planned in Concord for wastewater work on Cumberland Court SW and stormwater work on Summit Drive SE. During the closures, access for local property owners and residents will be maintained, however, through traffic is advised to avoid the areas and follow signed detours.

On Wednesday, July 13, Cumberland Court SW will be closed between Plott Drive SW and Warren C. Coleman Boulevard to allow city wastewater crews to install service in the area. The closure will be in place from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. 

Beginning Thursday, July 14, Summit Drive SE will close to through traffic between Crestside Drive SE and Barclay Court SE to allow stormwater crews to work on a culvert. Work is anticipated to begin at 7 a.m., and weather permitting will take approximately one week.
