City of Concord issued the following announcement on March 1.

Crews have been hard at work this week on the Downtown Concord NC Streetscape project!

✔ Work is finishing up on the new sewer lines and crews anticipate beginning water line work early next week

✔ The crosswalk at Barbrick Avenue is anticipated to reopen on Tuesday, March 7

✔ Two additional solar light poles were installed on Union Street

✔ City Transportation crews are monitoring and adjusting traffic signals to ease congestion downtown during construction

✔ Southbound drivers on Union Street may now make left turns onto Cabarrus Avenue
