CITY OF CONCORD: Streetscape project is ramping up on Barbrick Avenue

0Comments

City of Concord issued the following announcement on Nov. 27.

Work on our Streetscape project is ramping up on Barbrick Avenue, and will soon move on over to Union Street!

In order to accommodate the new 42” storm drains that will be installed on Barbrick Avenue, our Electric System crews will have to remove an electric vault that will cut the power supply to the historic light poles and string lights in the trees on Union Street.

Due to these changes, we won’t be able to put out some of our holiday decorations this year.

However, we’ll be bringing in temporary lighting to keep Downtown Concord NC  merry and bright during construction. Learn more about our Streetscape project by visiting concorddowntown.com/streetscape
