CITY OF CONCORD: Next Yard Waste Bag September 1st

City of Concord issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.

Don’t miss our yard waste bag giveaway at Logan Multi-Purpose Center (184 Booker Dr SW) from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

The city’s new policy requires yard waste to be placed in paper bags or a in a reusable containers clearly labeled “yard waste.”

 To help ease the transition, the City of Concord will be hosting monthly yard waste bag and “yard waste” label stickers giveaways. 

Come out to the Logan-Multi-Purpose Center today and get your free bags between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM!

 This is a first come first serve basis. 

Yard waste paper bag limit of 10 per household each month and stickers that say “yard waste” for residents who will prefer to use their own reusable container will be distributed at the event.

The City of Concord has lifted a recent boil water notice for customers north of I-85 and NC-73 after confirming safe drinking water through tests. Only a small number of households were affected; others remained unaffected throughout this period.

Boil water notice issued for small portion of Concord customers

A boil water notice has been issued for a small number of Concord residents after E. coli was found in part of Kannapolis’ drinking supply. Only those living north of I-85 and NC-73 who receive their service from Kannapolis are affected; free bottled water is being distributed.
