City of Concord government offices will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2025. The closure affects several city services, which will operate on modified schedules for the holiday.

Solid waste collection services will not take place on Monday, September 1. All customers will experience a one-day delay in garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulky waste collection. Residents are advised to place their items at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on their scheduled collection day. For schedule verification and service alerts, customers can visit https://concordnc.gov/whatsmyday and download the CARTology mobile app.

Rider Transit buses will not run on Monday, September 1. Regular transit service is set to resume on Tuesday, September 2.

City recreation centers will observe holiday hours on Labor Day and will be open from noon until 6 p.m. The David Phillips Activity Center and Lake Fisher will be closed for the day. ClearWater Arts Center & Studios remains accessible to tenants and their guests.
