City of Albemarle issued the following announcement on Mar. 9.
The EE Waddell Community Center is getting a new parking lot. Grading is underway in the area off McLaughlin Street. Special thanks to students with Stanly Community College’s Heavy Equipment program. Under the supervision of their instructor, students are helping with grading and site work at no cost to the City. Once the grading and site work is finished, the City’s Public Works Department & Parks and Recreation Department will pave the area and complete the project.
